My guild ran a casual schedule with scuffed comps and we managed to clear all H mode content in wotlk on 10 man and everything Heroic on 25 man minus No lights yogg, and H Lich King ( lots of sub 10% wipes). We did this way back in the day with shitty computers and bad internet with high ping. We certainly were not min/maxing the way groups do ...Essentially every optimal 10 man composition in wrath starts with a prot paladin, a dk tank, a disc priest and a holy paladin. Have a 1 DPS player who can dual spec healing. I can't really think of any fights that would require three tanks, but a 3rd healer option is nice. DPS starts off great in T4 but scales very poorly in later tiers. A second shadow priest is sometimes good to give another healer group more mana.Mage and rogue aren't good 10 man classes at least early. Combat is woefully bad in T7 and mut is incredibly strong in both 10 and 25. Ret on the other hand does very mediocre damage early on and doesnt come online until late TOC/ICC.
