You could use velcro ties, too, along with some velcro strips under the board, to secure them. And zip ties work well, too. 1) Use a flatheaded screw driver and pull out all the frets. 2) Use 220 grit sandpaper (pretty fine grit) and sand it down till smooth (its rough after you take the frets out). 3) Take wood filler and fill each slot with it and let dry for a couple hours.He mainly used Mesa, but some times used Ampeg.
